Ambleside

Located on Marine Drive, Ambleside is home to a variety of shopping, restaurants, and sites. As one of West Vancouver's oldest neighbourhoods, Ambleside Village (sometimes known as Ambleside-by-the-sea) was once a seaside retreat for those escaping the city. Today, Ambleside is a flourishing neighbourhood in West Vancouver. This neighbourhood is home to some of Vancouver's most beautiful parks and beach; the views include the Lions Gate Bridge, Stanley Park, Downtown, and the western parts of Vancouver like Kitsilano and Point Grey, and you can even see Vancouver Island. Take a stroll from the Capilano River past Park Royal Shopping Centre to Ambleside Park and get an unparalled harbour view from the Seawalk. Ambleside is also home to the Park Royal Shopping centre and its newest creation "The Village", which features many high end stores such as Whole Foods, Lululemon, Michaels and Danier Leather. The Village also has excellent dining by way of The Cactus Club, Milestone's, Browns Social House, The Keg and Steamworks. If sailing and kayaking are your pastimes, Hollyburn Sailing Club at the foot of 13th St. - overlooking Ambleside Beach - is the place to be.

Dundarave, West Vancouver

Dundarave

Beginning as a logging camp, Dundarave has since flowered into its own unique area with distinctive boutiques and sidewalk cafes. Don't miss the spectacular view of Burrard Inlet from Dundarave Pier, a ferry dock that predates the opening of the Lion's Gate Bridge in 1936.
